As a short summary of Day 14: Holy fuck am I tired.
All day I felt extremely tired, even now I'm forcing myself to write this for your pleasure(s). If my diet yesterday was sub-par, today's diet was sub-sub-par. I definitely did not eat enough according to my weight/height and energy demands. In fact, I think I ate less than yesterday.
I asked my boss to give me the night off to take care of something and he was nice enough to fufill my demand, which gave me a small reprieve. He's leaving tomorrow, so I'll be working long days. Which means I'll have to eat regularly. I really wanted to cook something when I got home, but I had to leave shortly after to go get something fixed. Regardless, someone was nice enough to leave me some simple, but delicious, spaghetti, when I got home. I can't thank them enough.
I think I might be coming down with something. My head hurts and stuffed up and my body is really achy. I'm not sure whether the aches are from Jujutsu or because I may be catching something. It's a little irritating.
I can't help but wonder whether my terrible eating habits lately are the cause of my possible-but-unsure of sickness. If so, that would really suck. I am definitely going to make extra efforts to eat enough and properly. I think the worst part about becoming ill is that I will HAVE to work. I cannot call in sick, because no one else can take my shifts. Zen Gardens has one employee: me. There aren't any other employees to cover for me and the only other option is closing the restaurant, which isn't fair to them. I know that the owner is counting on me to do a good job and keep the tea house running smoothly. Which is why I shall redouble my efforts to eat properly. Just in case this is the cause of my feeling crappy.

Aww I hope you feel better soon! I actually made up a recipe today that can be easily converted into a veggie one. If you want, I'll send it to you. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is Jen Bell btw haha.
Hey Jen. Yeah, I knew it was you. Feel free to send me the recipe. I'm always willing to try new things. In fact, if you could just post in the comments section so that other people may read/see/steal it, that would be great.
ReplyDeleteOooo alrighty then. :) In your case, you can substitute with any meat alternative you want (tofu, soy, etc.).
ReplyDelete"Chicken Zucchini Recipe"
You shall need:
1 piece of chicken breast, cut into reasonable pieces
1 tomato, cubed
1/2 English cucumber, cubed
1/2 zucchini, cubed
1-1 1/2 handfuls of sliced, blanched almonds
a small piece of ginger root, peeled and grated
pinch of salt 'n' pepa
What to do:
1) Combine everything into a bowl and mix together to get the flavours blended and tasty. :)
2) Fry up the ol' stir-fry pan on medium high heat and add some oil to grease it up.
3) Put all the contents of your bowl into the pan and stir-fry until your chicken is cooked and the veggies are crispy. :D
